Good for Christmas, weddings or just whenever!
Hey Sas!
Your blog is amazing… easy to follow recipes and awesome pics… very professional! As a fellow vego, I’ve been encouraged to eat quinoa… what are some of your fav recipes using this?
Caz
Thanks Caz! Quinoa’s a tricky one, I think. I had a great porridge with it somewhere recently (can’t remember where…). I’ll try to recreate it and post a recipe.

Hey Caz
I eat a bit of Quinoa as I am wheat-free and it is a good alternative grain. You can use it as a porridge (Birdman Eating in Gertrude St does a delicious Coconut quinoa porridge with banana and palm sugar – yum!) or as a savoury alternative. I have used it in salads cold and hot like couscous. Will chat to Sas and post some recipes.
The key is not to overcook it and to add a bit of flavouring as it does not have a strong taste of itself (a bit nutty). When I make quinoa porridge I always serve it with yoghurt, honey and either fresh fruit (berries are great) or poached fruit.
BTW – avoid the red quinoa – its a little weird.
